“It is hard to believe this, seeing crowds of Polish tourists in Vilnius that up to 90 per cent of all Poles have never been to Lithuania and only 58 per cent could pinpoint it on the map.” cited daily paper Gazeta Wyborcza.
The newspaper further underlined that despite the tensions between Vilnius and Warsaw, half of both Poles and Lithuanians feel neither sympathy, nor antipathy to one another. While 44 per cent of Poles are positively inclined toward Lithuanians, only every fourth Lithuanian would say the same about Poles.
