I am a student, an everyday life explorer. Around me I see great potential of moments, that majority would find regular. But I tend to see them as a happenings that occur for certain reasons. First of all, I guess it is worth mentioning that I have several homes. Originally I come from a small Latvian village called Priekuļi, which is located just 6 kilometers from the lovely medieval town called Cēsis. For the first 18 years of my life I only knew living in a tight community where everyone knows everyone and it is rather difficult to hide something. And living in a 2-room apartment with my sister and 5 animals. After graduating high-school I decided not to move too far and chose to start my studies in Valmiera – a nice town, however a bit bigger than the one I lived in before. That is when I started living completely independently – carefully studying, observing and growing (all this is still going on, of course). At this time I also started to travel more and finally caught the true hitch-hiking bug. Step by step I learnt, how to
manage with my own incomes, how to decide, what a person truly needs (is it a new pair of shoes or better should I buy a ticket to the local theater performance?). Of course, I also see loads of mistakes made by both me and people around me. I am truly aware of the fact that life is more than just black or white and all the challenges, no matter how frustrating or difficult they may seem at first, eventually give dozens of valuable lessons to remember when moving on further in my life. So the answer is quite simple – I know the living in small Latvian towns, besides, my traveling experience and motivation to seek and understand is a value that points all the positive and negative sides by comparing and observing.
