I label myself as a European urbanist. I’m interested in cities, urban life, and being a part of making better urban space. I want to participate in, observe, indulge in, and analyze urban life in different ways. I believe that in an integrating Europe, there’s so much we can learn from each other by sharing experiences, ideas and insights on approaches to urban issues and cultural policies.
I call Helsinki and Tampere home, Europe as my homeland. I’m currently studying a one-year master on European urban cultures which takes place in four cities around Europe during an academic year. For this spring and early summer I’m moving to Tallinn from Manchester and I’m looking forward to share my experiences of being a cross-border zone citizen in the Helsinki-Tallinn region.
Later in summer I’ll pack my bags again and return back home to my Helsinki apartment. After a year of flaneuring around numerous European cities, I’ll be looking at my surroundings through new lenses enriched with unforgettable adventures. Tallinn, Helsinki and the Baltic Sea Region, here I come!
