Scandinavians would not tolerate the conditions in which under-age children from the social risk group families live in Lithuania and they would take away all Lithuanian children living in the asocial families, says Lithuanian MP Rimantė Šalaševičiūtė - cited by www.delfi.lt.
When asked about stories about Lithuanian families in Norway, whose children were taken away by social workers, she said that Norwegians are taking any violation in the family very seriously. According to her, Lithuanians often misunderstand how to raise and look after their children.
Sweden was the first country to adopt the law forbidding to hit children. Then the other countries in the region followed suit.
