Famous glassmaker Orrefors Kosta Boda in the southeastern “crystal kingdom” of Sweden will outsource the lion part of its production. Seven out of ten glasses twill be made abroad in the future, CEO Magnus Andersson says.
The company’s Swedish outfit in Kosta town will be turned into a warehouse just makimg its art objects and crystalware. Sales and marketing will be moved to Gothenburg.
“We can’t die with our consumers, we need to find new ones,” Andersson added.
