5.7 mln Euro to be allocated for green innovation projects in Lithuania

greenThe Ministry of Economy is calling Lithuanian small and medium-sized
enterprises for proposals for support of innovative environmental protection
technology development and implementation. It is projected to distribute LTL
19.6 million (EUR 5.7 million) under the Green Industry Innovation Programme
funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the period of 2009-2014, informs
LETA/ELTA.

According to the deputy minister, in order to enable more companies to use the support its requirements were slightly altered. Applicants are not be required to have a business partner from Norway. Nonetheless, when allocating support priority will be granted to bilateral projects as one of the goals of the implementation of the Green Industry Innovation Programme is to promote Lithuanian-Norwegian cooperation…..

……Applications are to be submitted to the Central Project Management Agency by 1 June 2014.
