It is planned to form a special ‘European movement for Russians’ in Latvia. The goal of this undertaking is to show Russian President Vladimir Putin that there are pro-European Russians living in Latvia, and that these Russians do not need protection from anyone.
Events recently organized by the Non-citizens Congress have raised certain degree of concern in ‘Chas’ newspaper journalist Igor Vatolin. He believes those who are heard the most – Aleksandr Gaponenko, Illarion Girs and Vladimir Linderman – are trying to create an atmosphere of a pending threat to Latvia.
He believes local Russian mass media should think again and top following Kremlin. This is why he has decided to explain to his readers that the aforementioned persons are trying to divide the population, as reported by Nekā personīga programme. (more)
