Lithuania announced as country with the most potential

lithuania euroLithuania is one of the most attractive countries for potential investors in the Central and Eastern European region, states the Economic Scorecard Report compiled by the company ‘PwC’ and the British Embassy in Warsaw, www.delfi.lt reports.

The main features that determine Lithuania’s attractiveness for investors are the country’s high market access and competitiveness. The most significant downside, however, is a lack of resources, including people, capital and knowledge.

“Lithuania has already proved that it is attractive to investors such as ‘Barclays’ and ‘Western Union’. We hope for further interest and for more potential investors who would be interested in investing in Lithuania,” said Nerijus Nedzinskas, Tax and Legal Services Department Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The report compares developed European countries as well Central and Eastern European countries, and developing countries, based on five specialised economic indices: market access, resources that encourage development, competitiveness, growth stability and business environment.
