Lithuanian ambassador: We think ourselves a Nordic nation

PENTAX Image“Lithuanians themselves do not think that they are people from Eastern  Europe. We have all the values the  Nordic people have – hard working, endurance, common sense,” said by Lithuania’s Ambassador in London Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė in an interview on BBC.

She was asked about the negative image about immigrants from Eastern Europe  formed by British tabloids. More than 95,000 Lithuanians live in England  including nearly 40,000 in London.
