Rosatom to negotiate with Lithuania on Baltic Nuclear Power Plant

energistrømPossible break-through in the negotioations on the palnned nuclear power plant in Kaliningrad. Russian state-owned energy company Rosatom says that it is ready to negotiate with Lithuania on the project, whereas Lithuanian officials say that they have not received any official documents from Russia yet, reports LETA/ELTA.

“We have prepared answers to all the questions that Lithuania had asked about the Baltic NPP project. We sent the answers to the new minister of environment,” says company’s Deputy President Advisor Sergei Bojarkin.

However, Minister of Environment Valentinas Mazuronis told the news agency ELTA that he did not receive any documents from Rosatom yet.

“I have heard it too, () that these answers have been allegedly sent but I have not seen them. () I have heard such rumours but I have not seen any letters,” says Mazuronis.
