Swedes are maintaining their opposition to adopt the euro. If there was a national vote today, 77 percent would vote against adopting the currency, a new study by SCB reveals.
Men are somewhat more positive to adopting the euro, at 14.5 percent approval compared to 11.8 percent for women. But the difference may be explained by the fact that a larger portion of women are uncertain about the issue.
Regarding Sweden being an EU member state, 48 percent think that membership is a good thing, while 22 percent are in opposition. There was about a three percent increase of positive support since a November study, although there were about the same number in opposition.
