As the crisis deepens in Ukraine, exports to both Russia and Ukraine have dropped since the beginning of the year, Poland’s statistics office reported yesterday.
In the the first quarter of 2014, exports to Russia dropped by 7.1 percenr year-on-year, while exports to Ukraine dropped by as much as 20.6 percent year-on-year, the Central Statistical Office has revealed.
However, the latest figures show that a drop in exports to Poland’s eastern neighbours has been offset by an increase in export trade with Sweden and Germany, by 19.4 and 11 percent respectively.
Currently, 26.3 percent of Polish exports go to Germany, while 6.4 percent of exports head for the UK, 6.1 percent to the Czech Republic and 6.0 percent to France.
