Quick joint venture nescessary for implementation of Rail Baltica

railway tracksIn order to begin implementation of the high-speed railroad project Rail Baltica as soon as possible, and have the European Union cover up to 85% of the project cost, it is important that the Baltic transport ministers reach agreement, already during their meeting in Riga 11. April, on the establishment of a joint venture for implementing the project, believes European Parliament member Roberts Zile, writes LETA.

“The time is right for making the crucial decisions on further progress of Rail Baltica, European,” said Conservatives and Reformists group’s spokesman Rolands Petersons at a conference in Brussels to LETA.
