Ukraine has announced that it will lift its embargo on Polish meat, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has told Polish Radio.
“The prime minister and foreign minister assured me that Polish and Ukrainian agricultural ministers and veterinary officers will meet in Paris on May 27 where they will sign a final accord to lift the embargo,” Sikorski said, adding “let’s hope this happens.”
Sikorski visited Kiev, Friday, where he spoke with Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Acting President Oleksandr Turchynov. Meanwhile, Poland’s chief diplomat said that Ukraine, along with Moldova, was on the right track to initiate visa-free travel to the European Union next year.
Summing up his visit, Sikorski said that an atmosphere of reforms could be felt in the Ukrainian capital.
