This year the summer was very warm, even the sea water was so warm that one could take endless baths. It’s not common each year that sea water is so warm, 22 degrees is suitable for swimming but if one wants to just lay in the water it starts to get freezing.

If Estonian weather is warmer than 30 degrees for a long time, it becomes uncomfortable for many. Estonians are never satisfied, most of the time it is too cold, too hot, too rainy or too snowyJ. When tourists ask if you have a summer in Estonia, the common answer is: “Last year we had summed but I was working that day.”

I like Estonian climate, especially the second half of the summer when thunderstorms start. The black clouds rise into the sky. Sometimes the thunderstorms last for several days. One cloud arrives and the other is going. The best place to follow the dance of the thunderstorms is on the beach during the night.
